May Fly In

As I am sure you are all aware, the club has decided to have a ‘fly-in’/open day/BBQ/Bring & Buy on Sunday 27 May 2012. In addition to ourselves, we have invited members of the Warminster and County clubs.

There is a meeting scheduled on 10 May 2012, at 19:00 at the Bell Inn, Buckland Dinham to discuss all the arrangements etc for the day.

This is an open meeting which we would like as many club members as possible to attend.

Patch Update

The Patch has now been rolled, so if the wind ever stops blowing, it’s time to get those scale models dusted down and ready to go!

ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS AND PARKING

From now on the Main Field showground will be in sporadic use by Caravanners, Access now is only to be via the mian Maiden Bradley road entrance (B3092).

Maintenance Session

Many Thanks to the 8 members who attended the maintenance session on Saturday, we managed to fill in as many of the holes caused by the local wildlife that we could find! We should be able to get the roller on the patch soon, and get our flying surface back to it’s normal smooth condition. Sue hardy took some photos during the sesion, one of which prompted us to have a caption competition, email your ideas to Sue, we will post the best (and publicly acceptable ones) on the website.

FREQUENCY USAGE BREAKDOWN – FMFC

The Frequency Allocation Table attached breaks down the frequencies used within our club. It is colour coded so that people are aware of how many others use the same frequency. It will be of use to potential new members to see where there are gaps to save possible conflicts on those good flying days we are looking forward to this summer.
